            You have the right to inspect and review your, or your student’s education records.

            You have the right to exercise limited control over other people’s access to your or your student’s education records.  The school will limit the disclosure of information contained in education records except: 1) by prior written consent of the student’s parent or the eligible student, 2) as directory information (Mid-AmericaTechnologyCenterdoesn’t presently keep directory information), or 3) under certain limited circumstances, as permitted by the FERPA.

             You have the right to seek correction to a part or parts of educational records if you believe the record to contain inaccurate, misleading information, or if the record otherwise violates the student’s rights.  Your rights include the right to a hearing to present evidence that the record should be changed.

             You have the right to file a complaint with theU.S.  Department of  Education,  if you believe that this school district has violated the FERPA.

             You have the right to obtain copies of this school’s FERPA policy.
