Administrative Medical Office Assistant
Description:
The Business, Management & Administration Cluster prepares students for administrative careers in a wide variety of medical office settings. In the core classes, students learn fundamental and advanced software skills in Microsoft Office. Additional core skills include: customer service, telephone etiquette, basic math, communications, and office procedures. The advanced medical training includes medical terminology, patient billing, insurance, transcription and coding. Students complete a personal portfolio which will showcase their industry-related certifications. Leadership skills are enhanced through the student chapter of Business Professionals of America.

Hours:
Morning session – 8:10 – 11:10 a.m.
Afternoon session – 12:45 – 3:45 p.m.
College Credit:
Up to 21 hours through Oklahoma City Community College
