Description:
This class prepares students for diverse employment opportunities in a variety of healthcare facilities. Students will learn front and back office procedures including; administrative procedures, medical terminology, medical insurance, patient billing, electronic health records, vital signs, phlebotomy, and advanced computer skills related to the medical industry. As the medical field is evolving into a digital workforce, students are required to be adept at electronic health records as well as safety and privacy regulations. Students gain valuable knowledge in customer service, foundations of a medical office, and the skills needed to be successful citizens and employees.

Hours:
Morning session – 8:10 – 11:10 a.m.
Afternoon session – 12:45 – 3:45 p.m.
