  OCTOBER 2020  


Description: This is a 10 week course (180 training hours). The course is a combination of class room course-work and physical skills training. After successful completion of the course, students will have the knowledge and abilities to meet the requirements of an entry-level firefighter. This course has hands-on skills activities on Saturdays which requires students to bring Bunker Gear (and SCBA if available). (Students are eligible to test for IFSAC Firefighter I Certification after successfully completing three courses: Hazardous Materials Awareness, Hazardous Materials Operations, and Firefighter I.)

Dates: Saturday, October 10, 2020 through Saturday, January 23, 2021 

Times: Tuesdays & Thursdays (Class Days) 6pm – 10 pm

            Saturdays (Skills Days) 8am – 5pm (meals not provided)

Location: Mid-America Technology Center (Wayne, OK), Demo Burn and Live Burn activities are conducted at Pontotoc Technology Center (Ada, OK)
