Description:
Veterinary Assistants feed and care for animals, administer medication as prescribed by the veterinarian, assist the veterinary team with animal nursing techniques, and clean and sanitize labs, equipment, and surgical areas. Students learn how to provide large and small animal care including preventive care, post-surgical care, diagnostic processes, and basic office procedures. Students practice in a variety of settings as chosen by the instructor. Upon completion of this course, students have the experiences and skills necessary to become employed in a veterinary clinic, veterinary hospital, or farm/ranch operations

Morning session – 8:10 – 11:10 a.m.
Afternoon session – 12:45 – 3:45 p.m.
