MATC Students State SkillsUSA Officers

Mid-America Technology Center students Ryan Sample and Avery Miller were recently elected to serve as State SkillsUSA Officers for the 2022-2023 school year.

Sample, an MATC Cyber Security student, is the State SkillsUSA President, and Miller, an MATC Horticulture Technician student, is the State SkillsUSA Reporter. Sample attends Little Axe High School, and Miller attends Purcell High School.

Both students have hit the ground running; they have already attended four days of state officer leadership training and have a summer packed with state and national training, Summer Leadership Institute, and the SkillsUSA National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.

Sample and Miller are learning all they can this summer to be ready for the upcoming year. They are to be commended for their leadership skills and willingness to provide assistance whether it be locally, state or on the national level.
