About Us

Mid-America Technology Center is a public career and technology education center located in Wayne, Oklahoma and is part of the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education system. We are located ¼ mile west of I-35 and exit 86.

Mid-America Technology Center is one of 29 Career and Technical education options (OKCareerTech.Org) within Oklahoma 's globally recognized Career Tech System.

Mid-America Technology Center District was formed in 1968 and we held our first classes in the fall of 1971 serving 17 feeder schools with 13 programs. Today we have 31 programs, 19 feeder schools, and an average enrollment of 1000 full-time program students.

Mid-America Technology Center covers a geographical area of McClain, Garvin counties and parts of Cleveland, Pottawatomie, and  Grady counties. Mid-America Technology Center Philosophy

To invest in staff, programs, and students to provide resources necessary for a workforce development educational experience that prepares the unemployed to work, the underemployed to approach their professional potential, the high school and college-bound student to be prepared for success in their post-secondary education pursuits or career path, and the businesses in the district to economically benefit from the presence of a skilled local workforce. 

Additionally:
Adult Training & Development will provide over 13,000 hours of
business & industry training serving approximately 13,000 people per year.
