Mid-America Technology Center Students Earn National Recognition at SkillsUSA and HOSA Competitions

Ten Mid-America Technology Center students recently represented Oklahoma at national career and technical student organization competitions, showcasing their skills against some of the nation's top CareerTech students.

Students competed at the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, and the HOSA International Leadership Conference, demonstrating the knowledge, professionalism, and technical abilities developed through their CareerTech training.

Among the national competitors, three Mid-America Technology Center students earned top honors:

  • Bailey Beaman, a SkillsUSA Horticulture student from Noble High School, earned a Silver Medal in Customer Service
  • Jillian Hall, a HOSA Practical Nursing student, earned a Silver Medal in Health Informatics.
  • Emma Leon-Garcia of Purcell and Kaleb Fullinghim of Blanchard earned a Silver Medal in the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Team Competition.

The accomplishments reflect months of preparation, hands-on training, and dedication from both students and instructors. Competing at the national level provided students the opportunity to demonstrate industry skills while representing Oklahoma among the best CareerTech students in the country.Mid-America Technology Center is proud of all 10 students who represented Oklahoma on the national stage and congratulates the medalists for their outstanding achievements.
