From Horticulture to State Office: Mariela Ocampo-Guzman Elected SkillsUSA State Officer

Mariela Ocampo-Guzman discovered SkillsUSA in MATC's horticulture program as a high schooler. Now the Lexington graduate is one of four students elected to lead it statewide.

District 8 Hub Store Open at MATC

Students at Mid-America Technology Center (MATC) now have access to meals, clothing and classroom supplies through the new District 8 Hub Store, made possible by an $84,000 donation from CVR Energy. The store is designed to help students meet everyday needs so they can focus on learning and preparing for their futures.

Mid-America Technology Center returned from the 59th Annual Oklahoma CareerTech Summit with multiple statewide recognitions, reaffirming the district's commitment to excellence, leadership, and innovation in career and technical education. The Oklahoma CareerTech Summit brings together CareerTech professionals from across the state to collaborate, share best practices, celebrate excellence, and prepare for the upcoming school year.
