DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY EXAMS INFORMATION
The written exams for Class D driver's license, driver's permit, and motorcycle license can be taken in the Assessment Center at Mid-America Technology Center.
- Documentation Requirements: Candidates must present either a state-issued birth certificate or a valid, current photo ID issued by a U.S. government agency (such as a passport, military ID, or state-issued ID). Those who pass the exam must take their signed score sheet, along with all required documents, to a Department of Public Safety location to complete the licensing process.
- Retests are allowed with a one (1) day waiting period between exams
- Skills testing will still be done directly with DPS along with the application process to receive the permit/license. Click this link for a list of DPS locations: Service Oklahoma Locations

Getting Here:
Driving Directions from I-35 Exit 86 to MATC
- Take exit 86 off I-35 (Wayne/OK-59 exit).
- Turn west onto OK-59
- Continue straight on OK-59 for about ¼ mile.
- Look for the campus entrance on the south (left) side of the road.
- Enter through the first entrance and immediately turn left.
- Drive to the end of the parking lot and proceed right.
- The assessment center entrance faces the east.
