Cybersecurity and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA)

As a post-secondary educational institution entrusted with student financial aid information, MATC is continuously developing ways to address cybersecurity threats and strengthen our cybersecurity infrastructure.

Regulatory Compliance:

Under the U.S. Department of Education’s Program Participation Agreement and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) (15 U.S. Code § 6801), MATC protects student financial aid information, particularly information provided by the U.S. Department of Education or obtained in support of the administration of Title IV Federal student financial aid programs.

Security Measures:

Developing, implementing, and maintaining a security program.

Limiting access to authorized users.

Conducting risk assessments.

Kenneth Stull, the Information Technology (IT) Director, oversees MATC’s cybersecurity program, with limited access granted to other authorized personnel as needed.
