DAY-TIME FOCUS it is the day-time focus of Mid-America Technology Center to provide a rigorous and challenging education that will equip students with both academic and technical skills necessary to become successful in the workplace and or post-secondary education.
Half of the tuition is due on or before the fifteenth day of the student's scheduled start date. The other half is due on or before half of the scheduled hours for the career major in which the student is enrolled. Students not paying tuition within the scheduled time frame may be withdrawn and/or not enrolled the following semester.
- Enrollment fees are $40 for both secondary and post-secondary students
- Bus transportation from public high schools
- Morning and afternoon classes (8:10-11:10 & 12:45-3:45)
- High school credit - elective and academic
- Advantage Center prepares students for gainful employment in the current job market
Short-Term Adult Programs Tuition & Supply Fees:
- 100% tuition and supply fees are refundable to the student if the technology center cancels the program or amends the published start/end date. Official Student Withdrawal Form shall not be required in these instances.
- Nonattendance of classes does not constitute official student withdrawal. The student must complete an Official Student Withdrawal Form before the eligible withdrawal period expires in order to be considered for a tuition and supply fee refund. The director shall have authority to consider extenuating circumstances on a limited basis.
- The Official Student Withdrawal Form shall be completed online (link provided on matech.edu); or a paper form in the Business and Industry Services Building Administration Office.
- Upon receipt of an eligible Official Student Withdrawal Form, a 100% tuition and supply fee refund, less $5 processing fee, can be granted if a student formally withdraws within the eligible withdrawal period:
- On or before the third class meeting for classes with five or more scheduled meetings; or
- On or prior to the first class meeting where the total number of class meetings is between three and five.
- Students are not eligible for tuition and supply fee refunds after any portion of the class offering that has one or two class meetings has commenced.
- Tuition and supply fee refunds are not eligible in any capacity after the third session of any short-term adult class.
