Retail Dining Assistant
Program Overview
This program introduces students to the basic skills of food preparation and retail sales preparation. Students will learn skills associated with both professions, such as monitoring food services operations and equipment or supplies. Cook foods, maintain food, beverages, or equipment inventories. Clean tableware, store supplies or goods in kitchens or storage areas. Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment. Serve food or beverages. Active Listening, Speaking, Critical Thinking, Social Perceptiveness, Judgment and Decision Making, Time Management, Active Learning, Problem Solving, and Writing.

$2.50 per credit hour X 960 hours = $2,400Financial Assistance
In-district* students under the age of 22 will be awarded the next step scholarship for students in good standing, which covers tuition and all full-time programs except Practical Nursing and Lineworker Technology.*In-district schools include: Blanchard, Bridge Creek, Dibble, Elmore City-Pernell, Lexington, Lindsay, Little Axe, Maysville, Newcastle, Noble, Paoli, Pauls Valley, Purcell, Stratford, Wanette, Washington, Wayne, Whitebead (PK-8) and Wynnewood.

Transportation Services
- High school students: Transportation is provided from your high school to MidAmerica for both morning and afternoon classes. Buses will also take you back to your high school.
- Home school, EPIC, and adult students: Transportation is provided from your local high school for both morning and afternoon classes. Buses will also take you back to your high school.
