FAQ's
What are Full-Time Programs?
Full-time programs are half-day career training programs that typically range from one to two years in length. Students receive hands-on, industry-focused instruction designed to prepare them for careers, certifications, licensure, and continued education opportunities.
Some programs include minimum high school grade level requirements for enrollment. Eligible in-district high school students under the age of 22 may attend qualifying full-time programs tuition-free through Oklahoma CareerTech and Next Step funding opportunities.
What is PRO?
MidAmerica Technology Center's Professional Resource Outreach (PRO) department offers flexible short-term classes and training opportunities for both personal enrichment and workforce development.
Unlike Full-Time Programs, PRO classes range from free one-hour hobby and community-interest courses to accelerated career training programs, industry certifications, and professional development courses. Classes may last from a few hours to several months and are offered in a variety of formats, including evening, weekend, and all-day training options.
What is Open Enrollment?
Open Enrollment refers to the registration process used for most classes offered through MidAmerica Technology Center's Professional Resource Outreach (PRO) department.
Open Enrollment allows individuals to register for eligible classes without being part of a partner school district, employer-sponsored group, or selective application process. These classes are open to the general public, provided any age requirements, prerequisites, or other course-specific requirements are met.
Open Enrollment does not apply to Full-Time Programs. Full-Time Programs have separate admission requirements and enrollment procedures for high school and adult students.
