Description:
This program is designed to introduce students to the care and management of horses. Students will be instructed in the selection of feeds, balancing rations, health maintenance, selection of breeds, breeding, and training techniques, parturition, genetics, and skills to become gainfully employed in an equine-related career. Students work with industry personnel at a job-questioning panel and sales events, tour world-class facilities, and view some of the highest quality equine in both race and performance events.

Hours:
Morning session – 8:10 – 11:10 a.m.
Afternoon session – 12:45 – 3:45 p.m.

Normal Completion Time:  19 weeks for full-time status
