Description:
This 2-year program is an introduction to all types of law enforcement careers, such as police officers, military police, security personnel, and correction and detention officers. Students will learn content including historical background, professional direction, law enforcement agencies and processes, purposes, functions, ethics, administration, and technical problems of the criminal justice system as they relate to municipal, state, and federal entities. Students participate in work-based education working as security at local sporting events as well as interning at detention and dispatch centers. Upon completion, students may work as a dispatcher, continue their law enforcement education, or begin a military career.
Hours:
Morning session - 8:10 - 11:10 a.m.
Afternoon session - 12:45 - 3:45 p.m.
